PokerStars revealed that its London Series is to make its first official appearance at The Hippodrome Casino London in the period from March 2ns to March 5th, 2017. PokerStars, which is among the most successful brands of the Canadian gaming and online gambling giant Amaya Inc., announced that the its brand-new PokerStars London Series is to also debut at PokerStars Live.
The brand-new London Series of PokerStars will be hosted by one of the most exciting casino facilities in the UK capital – The Hippodrome Casino London, which is also know as home to some of the largest and most prestigious live poker tournaments and event series.
The Vice President of Corporate Communications of PokerStars’s parent company Eric Hollreiser commented on the brand’s new Series, explaining that the game of poker had always been described as a social game on a global scale. He further revealed that PokerStars had always been devoted to the idea of increasing the popularity of the game worldwide, but it had also been focused on making large investments into popularising poker among UK communities.
As explained by Mr. Hollreiser, the new London Series of the brand was especially designed in order to summon the parts of the UK and Ireland Poker Series and the Hippodrome Classics that have been found most attractive by customers and make them even better for London residents and visitors of the city.
PokerStars revealed that a total of five new events will be held over the brand’s London Series. The lowest buy-in featured by the events would amount to £275. The events’ organisers also shared that the £275 PokeStars Series in London will feature a guaranteed prize pool of £40,000, four starting flights and a starting stack amounting to 25,000. What is more, increased guaranteed prize pools and starting stacks, longer registration process (until level 6) as well as bigger stacks and longer tournament levels are expected to be featured by the PokerStars London Series events.
Of course, the new events Series in London will provide players with an online qualifier for the live poker tournament. The Satellites for the first-ever PokerStars London Series are scheduled to start on February 26th, with small qualifier fees. Of course, players who would like to take part of the tournament, would be able to qualify live, directly at The Hippodrome Casino on March 2nd.
Currently, a total of five key dates for the London Series of PokerStars have been revealed. As mentioned above, the inaugural event is to be held between March 2nd and 5th, with a buy-in of £275. Then, another event is to take place from May 25th to May 28th, also featuring a buy-in of £275.
The third PokerStars London Series at The Hippodrome will feature a larger buy-in amounting to £550 and is to kick off on August 30th to end of September 3rd. Then, another event is to be held between October 5th and 8th, in return to a buy-in of £275. The fifth event of the newly-presented PokerStars series is to start on November 9th.
